My husband needed T-shoes. We normally go to Academy in Trussville. He wears nothing but New Balance. For the last 2 x Academy has not had his shoe.
We ordered on line. This time we went to Shoe Dept. He could not believe the different name brands.
I like this store. It's a big store with loads of shoes. I went today to purchase some flip flops and a pair of sneakers, but unfortunately, i hated everything available. Im not impressed with ANY of the styles of sandals or flip flop options...yuck. I guess i need to start designing shoes because EVERYTHING sucks nowadays. They're just not my "cup of tea" so to speak...bummer. Of course i DON'T hold this against the store, they are doing exactly what they're supposed to be doing....selling shoes. ill just keep wearing what i have until someone with some of my sense of style puts out some decent shoes.
Huge selection of shoes, but don't expect any degree of customer service. That includes a hello, basic eye contact or any other pleasantries. The whole store is ran by angsty teenagers that look like they'd rather be anywhere but there.
He loved it. He bought a pair of New Balance and a pair of Sketches. He said Shoe Dept. would be his store from now on.
